Introduction
Before applying for a Front Line security or door supervisor role,candidates will need to attain a level 2 award in Door Supervision. Roman Arch Training is governed by Skills for Security and as such delivers the above NOCN qualification. The qualification has been designed to meet the requirements of existing schemes and in accordance for national standards imposed by the SIA (Security Industry Authority).

No Formal qualifications are required to enter this award. This course is suited to all prospective and existing Door Supervisors, or those who working in the industry wish to attain the skills and legal knowledge of a door supervisor, such as licensees etc.
Course Details
The NOCN Level Two Award in Door supervision is composed of a total of two mandatory units. Both mandatory units must be completed by the delegate. Each unit will be assessed by an externally set written examination off multiple choice questions, in accordance to the assessment specifications set by the SIA. Each delegate will complete the above unless they have grounds for exemption.

- Introduction, Roles and Responsibilities.
- Behavioural Standards.
- Civil and Criminal Law.
- Arrest.
- Licensing Law.
- Searching.
- Health and safety at Work.
- Drugs Awareness.
- Recording incidents and Crime Scene Preservation.
- Emergency Procedure.
Unit Two: Communication and Conflict Management.
- Avoiding conflict: reducing risk, self awareness, pro-active service delivery
- Defusing conflict: blocks to communications, signaling non-aggression, high risk conflict.
- Resolving conflict: problem solving
- Learning from conflict: post incident considerations
Examination Criteria
Each unit has a one hour multiple choice exam with 35 questions in each.
Cost
The cost of the above course is a standard £210 per delegate. The above cost covers all learning aids, examination papers, fees, certificates and includes VAT.
Appeals
If a candidate fails there exams they may appeal to Roman Arch Training Ltd, if they are not happy with the outcome they may further appeal to the NOCN and Skills for Security. The delegate may re-sit an exam without having to retake the course although they will have to pay retake fees.
